Possibilities

Itacaré - Praia Concha
Once a very good Italian friend (my zucchina) explained me that Chinese write CRISIS using two symbols: one stands for DANGER, the other for POSSIBILITY.
When a crisis breaks out, it´s simpler, it is faster to look just at the dangerous side of the coin and maybe to give up. It takes more time, more patience to find out possibilities hidden on the other side...

My crisis has already finished, now its scientific name is diarrhea... :)

Some of you already know about my crisis.
Some of you helped me to come out and to remember the first, the huge, the most obvious possibility that I have in my hands...
I´M IN BRAZIL, COME ON!!

Brazil is a big country that you learn to measure and to take its pace when you travel through by bus....it´s really enormous!!

Brazil is so green that, as Tita says, you feel chlorophyll seeping through your veins just looking at mountains, prairies...and when you just glance at these gorgeous landscapes a story, with all the characters, bursts out in your head.
Brazil is yellow as sun, but don´t believe too much in sunny postcards: during my two weeks of wandering it rained a lot!
Brazil is blue as the sea, the ocean sea that leaves you without words and bewitches with its sounds and its waves, obviously :D
This is the meaning of Brazilian flag...and these are all my Brazilian possibilities!

Should I ask for more?

p.s. a very merry UNbirthday to Luca and Mik!!
And my best wishes for Manu and Ale that tomorrow will get married at just 4200 m of altitude!!! Anyway there's a Christ on a mountain also in Rio...and everybody would have reached it even with thongs :D
Well, OK, I will be waiting for you in Brazil for your honey moon :)

My beginning

Rio de Janeiro - Santos Dumont Airport
There's always a beginning, in every day of life, in every story, in every thread, in every journey...and my beginning has finally arrived!

Life has always a fabulous sense of humour! You can plan things down at the smallest detail, but life will always make fun of your details and will mess up everything.
You have to prepare your luggages, you have to put inside all your hopes, your dreams, your wishes, and also you fears (don´t forget them: they´ll keep your back straight during the walk!). Then you won´t pay attention how it might be happened, but you will forget some of them everywhere and you will change others with new hopes, new dreams...and fears will have finally desappeared.

My beginning was in a perfect Brazilian style!
In Sao Jose dos Campos I watched the final match of the World Cup: Brazilians get completely crazy for soccer, even if it´s not Brazil playing the match. Just to know: people cried in Rio when they were eliminated.
Then it rained cats and dogs and there was a black out..
I ate a mango and drank a cupuaçu and an açai: PURA VIDA!

Well, yesterday I travelled the whole day to arrive in Buzios: a nice place north to Rio that become famous thanks to BB (not Brice Barret, but Brigitte Bardot: sorry Brice!). Today I plan to discover all the beaches, tomorrow I will surf, maybe (Poulette, here sometimes there´s coral reef on the sea bed...it looks dangerous!! Anyway, in Sao Jose I have already met surfing people. I will pop up in a month!).

I don't speak Portuguese and most of Brazilians don´t speak English, so it´s funny how we try to communicate. I have a special appeal on Brazilian elderly women: they give me candies, go looking for water for me (on every bus water bottles are for free). I think it´s the effect of my knitting pins that peep out through my rucksack! Moreover yesterday night, when I arrived at the hostel, I spent an hour speaking with a girl about sewing (only Tita could understand: it´s the charme of a little sewer :) ).

Well it´s not so simple travelling alone when you don´t speak the language. You feel lost and alone more quickly, but I go on seeking my new dreams ;)

Stay you tuned!

p.s. sorry for my English
p.p.s. photos will arrive, maybe :)
